It could be said that the real-estate market in Tangier has been the most to benefit from Morocco’s property boom. Tangier was for many years a neglected city, despite it’s close proximity to Europe and it’s strategic location on the straits of Gibralta. Today the prices of real-estate in Tangier are on par with Marrakech real-estate prices. Demand for properties in Tangier was largely from Expatriate Moroccans. Today this demand is international but namely European. Real-Estate in Tangier remains a good investment, with Tangier real-estate prices rising at around 20% annually.

Tangier properties tend to have a special architecture. Tangier Villas tend to be white with green roofs, this is the traditional design that Tangier inherited from Andalusia. Properties in Tangier along the corniche though, tend to be much more modern. The newly built apartment blocks along Tangiers sea-front have floor-to-ceiling windows and modern interiors.
